TFC Draws 4-4 with #3 Ranked Grace Christian in Senior Night Thriller

Toccoa Falls College men's soccer team played to an exciting 4-4 draw with #3 ranked Grace Christian University on Senior Night, celebrating the careers of seniors Judah Berry, Coleton Davis, and Josh Lang. The game, filled with momentum shifts and late drama, saw both teams leave with a share of the spoils.

GCU started strong, taking a 2-0 lead just 15 minutes into the match. However, TFC responded. First, Edwin Gonzales got the Eagles on the board, cutting the deficit to 2-1. The equalizer came from senior Coleton Davis, who leveled the score at 2-2. TFC wasn't done yet, as Axel Sierra gave the Eagles a 3-2 lead midway through the second half, assisted by Judah Berry.

Despite the Eagles' resurgence, GCU fought back, equalizing in the 75th minute to make it 3-3. Just moments later, Fausto Granadoscruz put TFC back on top, assisted by Davis, with a goal that seemed to secure the win. But with less than two minutes left in the match, GCU scored off a free kick to make it 4-4, denying TFC the victory.

The match ended in a draw, but the Eagles showcased resilience and spirit in a thrilling encounter with one of the top teams in the country. The four goals came from four different players, with assists from Axel Sierra, Anthony Andrews, Judah Berry, and Coleton Davis.

TFC will play in the regional semi-final against top-ranked Bob Jones University on Thurdsday, 11/7/2024 at 2 pm eastern.
